Tulsi Tincture
Tulsi, or holy basil, is a sacred herb according to Ayurvedic tradition. Tulsi’s properties calm the senses and unify the body and mind. Tulsi has an affinity for the mucous membrane tissues (eyes, nose, mouth, and throat, and other organs of the digestive tract), and can work to calm irritation and inflammation of these tissues. Tulsi makes me feel calm from the inside. It makes me feel the happiness of sunshine on my shoulders. It makes me feel my fingers digging deep into the hot-wet soil, deeply nourished. What do you feel when you taste tulsi?
Smile, take a deep breath.
Tulsi leaves and flowers were harvested from my garden on Ward Hill! - Thanks to my dear friend Sarah Updegraff for the lovely tulsi photo
